I can’t believe this happened, this eagle tried to snag me. He saw me taking photos with my iPhone. I think he was trying to grab the phone from me. Maybe he thought I was holding up a fish for him. Listen to him screeching in the first second of this clip. I saw him coming from my left, coming in low, right at me. I raise my phone, he did a 180° turn right in front of me. Kinda like a miraculous acrobatic maneuver. I was able to capture him as he was flying away, the same direction he came from. A little bit more details about this situation. My iPhone was set on video and it was zoomed in, because I just got done taking that clip of the dam. This Eagle came in, I just liked pulled up my phone, whatever, push the red button. I squared off with a healthy bald eagle, damn lucky I still got my phone and my hands….. I think we both freaked each other out.
