I flunked third grade. Didn’t do any better the second time then the first. Had a learning disability in phonetic analysis. Just another fancy term that means you can’t spell. I had other talents which I started to work on. Now I have nothing but fun. I have to Google simple words, I have to look them up over and over again, it sucks. That’s why you don’t see a lot of photo details and wordage. It’s difficult for me to get the spelling correct. If I tried to spell without voice recognition I would flunk third grade for the third time. Luckily I had a fundamental curiosity in reality, that outweighed my ability to spell. I wasn’t born with all the gifts in the world, but I use the ones that I have. If you’re good at something, you cannot extrapolate that to something else. There are other people to show you. When you push yourself as far as you can, you run up against these people. Exceptional people, driven talented people.

  • I don’t do a lot of social networking. I don’t want to get bogged down, I have places to go and things to see. I’ve only scratched the surface. Nothings changed since I was a teenager.

    Rock Lake

Snowshoeing on Rock Lake at sunrise at below zero F. To get here I took off by snowmobile at first light..with snowshoes strapped on. I parked the sled on the side of the snowmobile trail then worked my way in on the shoes. This is a non motorized area.

The digital age has enabled a longtime dream for me. I have always loved to travel and often fined great spots. My dream has been to show others these spots, now I can. I started sharing photos on the web at flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/jimbrekke/ I like ImageKind for buying the photos ready to hang on the wall. It's fun playing with their framing tools. These sites and photography are fun hobbies for me. In my day job I work as an Optometrist. Thanks for taking the time! jimbrekke@yahoo.com Hudson Wisconsin.
