This large gun sits on the out skirts of Kristiansand Norway. The Germans built it during World War II for defensive purposes. It could throw a shell halfway to Denmark.
"Swords in Rock" It was here Harald Harfagre fought a battle that united Norway into one kingdom in 872 AD. The battle is described in Egils Saga from Iceland. Many people fled Norway for Iceland after the battle rather then smite to this king.
