I flunked third grade. Didn’t do any better the second time then the first. Have a learning disability in phonetic analysis. Just another fancy term that means you can’t spell. I had other talents which I started to work on. Now I have nothing but fun. I have to Google simple words, I have to look them up over and over again, it sucks. That’s why you don’t see a lot of photo details and wordage. It’s difficult for me to get the spelling correct. I love voice recognition. Luckily I had a fundamental curiosity in reality, that outweighed my inability to spell. I wasn’t born with all the gifts in the world, but I use the ones that I have.

    Rock Lake

Snowshoeing on Rock Lake at sunrise at below zero F. To get here I took off by snowmobile at first light..with snowshoes strapped on. I parked the sled on the side of the snowmobile trail then worked my way in on the shoes. This is a non motorized area.

The digital age has enabled a longtime dream for me. I have always loved to travel and often fined great spots. My dream has been to show others these spots, now I can. I started sharing photos on the web on flickr. These sites and photography are fun hobbies for me. In my day job I work as an Optometrist. Thanks for taking the time! jimbrekke@yahoo.com Hudson Wisconsin.

Back in the middle of nowhere.

Failure motivates the driven. I am watching the documentary on Elon Musk on Netflix, these words came to me. I watched every single Apollo lunch when I was a kid, including staying up until after 10 o’clock to watch the actual frist walk on the moon….Live,…. well , The speed of light delayed it, almost like sound travels.. there was, a slight delay, between NASA and astronauts on the moon, because the radio signal travels the speed of light, a delay. So all the universe has this delay. Like Einstein said, nothing can travel faster than the speed of light, 186,000 mi./s. That’s not that fast when you think about it, that’s only about 7 1/2 times around the world in one second. In 1969 July. I was nine years old and I was not gonna miss any of it. And I know exactly where I was during the Challenger disaster. Some people just change the course of history. Some for better and some for worse. I wish the grand unifying theory of physics would be solved, seems to be just so right in front of us, why can’t this be figured out? Maybe with the new telescope will get some insight. There has to be a connection between light and gravity.
